LARP Source

An Interactive Source for Live Action Role Playing

Keen observers have noticed that an elusive fifth season has been discovered; much like winter in a harsh northern land this season has a set of requirements to get through it unscathed. It has been said that Scientists have completely missed the discovery of this season because they are looking in all the wrong places.

Unofficially this season has been dubbed ‘LARP Season’ and its effects have been seen on close to 60,000 people in North America. Those afflicted have been known to go through sudden and extreme excited periods followed with a time where they seem to tune their surroundings. Severe cases have also been known to go into a feverish frenzy, and become suddenly moody.

We have it on good authority that this sudden moodiness is due to the realization that although the person is afflicted with the LARP Flu Bug they find that they are not properly prepared for LARP Season. These unsettling thoughts often lead to crankiness, fits of sobbing, and strangely enough a frenzy of cleaning while stuffing everything into sports bags and old army surplus equipment.

Friends and family may notice flu like symptoms due to the sporadic behaviour of the afflicted. For those of you who have friends and family that behave this way on a daily basis you must take extra caution. Look for strange clothing that would only be worn by something you saw once in that cartoon movie while eating cheetos and visiting your strangely emotional relative.

Tell-tale signs are welding goggles that have been painted to look like something else, finding pieces of plastic that have been painted to look like body armor, Star Wars costumes actually being worn, or strange nerf-like poking sticks that might be considered swords. Oh, and tri-quarters… Star Trek accessories are a dead give-away.

Before I post some examples I have to warn you that while some of these pictures may be exceedingly sexy to some, they show the specimens in graphic detail and may cause some bewilderment in some viewers.
