Now before you get all excited I have to tell you that I don’t know for certain if there will be gamer women in leather armor but that is my first guess.
What my lofty fireman comment refers to is a new addition to the ‘hot calendars’ line-up. At least it’s bound to be hot, sexy, or amusing if you’re into women who game and seem to enjoy being dressed up like something else.
Sounds kind of dirty doesn’t it? But let’s face it… there may be a market for firemen calendars because someone has a fire truck fascination but more than likely the calendars are being sold due to the buff, heroic, cast iron chiselled bodies being featured inside.
Well, it seems that someone has decided, after years of catering to those who love chiselled hard abs, that it was time to capture a far more elusive creature and put it in calendar form – the gamer girl!
I have to admit that I wonder what they will do with this project but I also wonder if it’s merely going to cater to those of us – I mean those of you …who find something sexy about a beautiful woman dressing herself up as something based in fantasy. (See what I did there?)
In all seriousness there is no part of me that does not want to see this calendar made; my LARP group has been discussing putting something like this together for years now. I just hope that the focus stays on women who game and it doesn’t turn into just another swimwear edition calendar that happens to feature women in theatrical make-up.
