For those of you who don’t know (because I certainly didn’t) Chicago has a bid in for the 2016 Olympic Games, and some people have decided to organize a month long event catered to gaining momentum.
The crew at the ‘Unlympic Games’ have set out a rigorous schedule from mid-January to mid-February for anyone and everyone who wants to participate – for FREE! The free part is pretty awesome but the part that boggles my mind is Chicago – in January/ February – outdoors.
Lucky for those of us that are addicted to being warm there are indoor events as well. Once such event is scheduled to take place on January 31st at the InCUBATE Storefront, 2129 North Rockwell Street. inCUBATE is hosting a family pot-luck Live Action Role Play Event designed for most ages and all you need to get in is a dish.
Personally I think it’s pretty exciting to have a city wide ‘mainstream’ event, about the OLYMPICS no less, that has incorporated Live Action Role Play in their schedule. Huzzah for them!
